Signups:
Post your B.Net ID and # along with your contact information and
general availabilities.
Round Robin Round Format:
Signups will take place during the first three weeks of the
competition. Matches can be played as early as Monday, April 2nd.
The last day that you can sign up for the tournament is Monday, April 16th.
Each player will be responsible for playing a single best of 3 series against
every other member in the pool. Yes, this will involve scheduling matches with
your opponents. The best way to deal with the scheduling is to either post and be
vigilant on the forums or by looking at the contact list. The other way that
has worked out really well for the Sports Leagues I’m in, is actually cell #’s
and texting each other when you are available. I will be here to do whatever I
can to help moderate things, but for the tournament to work successfully, you
will need to work to contact your opponents.
For the Round Robin games, each series is Best
of 3 with the following map choices:
Game 1: MLG Daybreak
Game 2: Loser’s Choice
Game 3: Game 1 Winner’s Choice
Scoring:
2-0 victory – 2 points
2-1 victory – 1 point
Tiebreaker: Number of games won overall.
The top four players will qualify for the Championship Single Elimination
Tournament.
Championship Tournament:
The top four players will qualify for the single elimination
best of 5 round. The players will be
seeded from 1-4, where the top seeded player will play the #4 seed and the #2
seed will play the #3 seed.
Maps:
Game 1: #1 Seed or #2 Seed Choice
Game 2: #4 Seed or #3 Seed Choice
Game 3: #1 Seed or #2 Seed Choice
Game 4: #4 Seed or #3 Seed Choice
Game 5: #1 Seed or #2 Seed Choice
Highest seed will always get the map choice for the deciding game.
The winners will play for the championship in a final bo5, your losers will
play one final bo5 for third. The matches of the championship tournament will
either be broadcast live or broadcast through replays. Ideally we’ll stream the
finals live on PW’s stream or on my stream.
Invite all your friends, tell your dogs and cats! Let’s get some StarCraft
action going again.
